Every single company that makes a header for my car wipes out the cat converter. I can’t run without one as NJ would literally have a fit over too much emissions, don’t mind the half destroyed cars driving on the roads around here that are ‘Ok’ in the states eyes because they’re not killing polar bears.
I really don’t see the point in keeping a stock down pipe and buying !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! as the 8th gen forum has suggested. Welp time to find nicer wheels I guess.

Perhaps you could add a universal cat to one of those catless headers
The likely reason there aren’t many cats/headers available for your 8th gen is because very few have failed in a car that new, and if they did, they were replaced by the dealer, for free, under warranty.
In a few years, more should be available.

You could relocate the cat. Go long tube and have a custom midpipe with the cat. My friend’s shop had to relocate the cat on an E30 that got a manual swap. Cat just needs to be present, it doesnt have to be 8 inches off the header.

If New Jersey would have a fit, you should too.

Hey
Hey
hey
Guess what has more torque than your Si by ONE.
You’ll never guess
Ok
Totally
Let’s just ignore all aspects of a full comparison indefinitely.

That is planned, but for now I’m in Jersey :[

I almost bought one actually...there was and still is a really clean Honda Fit at a Nissan place by me.

Suddenly I’m glad I have an H instead of a K.

Why not just weld one inline with the exhaust? Or move to a free state :)

What have you done to your car?

It’s not much better for me. If I want to get a decent header I have to get one made for an H2B car and get an S-pipe made so it’ll reach my cat.

Nothing besides a short shifter adapter

You know what mod I would get? Maintenance. Get her running real good before you fix her up.

doesn’t vibrant performance make a race header with cat for k20 Si’s?

You can register your car to a P.O box in North Carolina and we don’t require emissions. Not a bad deal honestly. Come down to the beach/mountains, get your car inspected, spend the rest of your year with happy VTEC times in New Jersey.
A girl in my Spanish class just moved here from Belmar(?), and is literally orange. She’s pretty cool though.

Instead of the header you can buy Flashpro. The difference is very nice. I will say though the six months I had a catless header with a tune were great and awful. Cold starts and certain highway RPMs were deafening and it ruined the character of the Invidia exhaust. Also I had an aftermarket rear motor mount installed to prevent the header cracking and the vibrations were terrible. With all the negatives though the mid range completely opened up and I actually had some passing power on the highway instead of dropping a gear or two.

Cats contain precious metals, they literally cannot be made cheaply or they do not work. crappy cats cost ~100 good ones that might actually pass a sniffer~350
